The HSHS volleyball games at Galva remain scheduled for today, Aug. 23 (Galva gym has air condition). Buses leave at 3:00 p.m.

Start Of School Date Change!
It has been determined that the start of school will need to be postponed by one week. This determination has been made to make sure that the HSGS/JH building and grounds are returned to a safe and orderly condition for students and staff following the HVAC and roofing project work. As a result, the return to school for all District students and staff will be as follows:
Monday, August 28 - Teachers’ Institute
Tuesday, August 29 - Teachers’ Institute
Wednesday, August 30 - First Day for Students
An updated school year calendar will provided soon.
Orientation for the Class of 2027 will still be held on Monday, August 21st @ 5:00 p.m.

Henry-Senachwine Baseball is STATE BOUND! The Mallards will depart HSHS via a charter bus Friday morning @ 9:00 a.m. for their 12:00 noon game vs Sterling Newman Central Catholic at Dozer Park Stadium in Peoria. Congratulations to the Henry-Senachwine Baseball Team! The Mallards are Super-Sectional CHAMPS and STATE BOUND! The Mallards defeated Milford High School 3-2 at the Illinois Wesleyan IHSA Class 1A Super-Sectional. Lance Kiesewetter got the win on the mound.
Next up for the Mallards is the IHSA 1A State Semi-Final against Sterling (Newman Central Catholic) at 12 noon at Dozier Park in Peoria.
Congratulations to Laney Lester. Laney was named the Peoria Journal Star Athlete of the Week. Laney earned 222 out of 500 plus votes. Laney won the IHSA !A State Discus Championship and placed 2nd in the IHSA 1A State Shot Put.
Congratulations to the Henry-Senachwine Varsity Baseball Team. The Mallards beat Heyworth High School 6-1 to win the IHSA 1A Sectional Championship at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington on Saturday. Mason Johnson got the win on the mound and led the team with 3 R.B.I.'s. Colton Williams added 2 R.B.I.'s . The Mallards will play for the Super-Sectional Championship against Milford High School on Monday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Jack Horenberger Field in Bloomington.
