PSAT/NMSQT (Pre-SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test)

The PSAT/NMSQT is tightly aligned with the redesigned SAT, this exam provides educators and students with the chance to check in on student progress. This exam will support all students with a clear focus on the skills and knowledge that matter most for college and career success. If you want to be considered a National Merit Scholar (see more info. below), you must take this test your junior year.

The PSAT/NMSQT also provides robust reporting tools that help support student success, including:

  • Free, personalized feedback on students' readiness for 20+ AP courses

  • Performance feedback connected to state standards

  • Robust cumulative and individual student reporting for instructional planning

  • Personalized student practice for the SAT through Khan Academy

When: Wednesday, October 13, 2021

PSAT 9 will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 and PSAT 10 on Thursday, April 14 respectively for all freshmen and sophomores.
