​Mr. Eckert and the Henry-Senachwine Chorus will be featured in the WEEK-TV's "Songs of the Season" holiday program. The special broadcast features area high school choirs performing holiday favorites. This is a one hour program that will air on WEEK-TV stations on December 24th and 25th. Henry-Senachwine High School Government Teacher, Alexa Damerell took a handful of students (Andon McQuade, Harper Schrock, Daniel Hill, and Alexia Serpette) to participate in State Senator Thomas ​Bennett's Fall 2023 Youth Advisory Council at the Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center in Pontiac, Illinois on Wednesday, December 6th.

Congratulations to HSHS Junior, Jackson Knisley. He was selected as the Midland FFA, Member of the Month for November. Congrats, Jack!

All Aboard! The Henry-Senachwine High School Student Council hopped on board the Polar Express Saturday morning for the Henry, Illinois Christmas Parade.

Sophomores, Jostens will be here to deliver your class rings this Friday, December 1st before school starting at 8:00am. If you have not made your final payment, please bring it with you on Friday so you can pick up your ring.

Scholastic Bowl kicked off their season Saturday with four of our HSHS members participating in the Mike Hendricks Memorial tournament at Blue Ridge High School against 7 other teams. HSHS finished 3-4 on the day with individual awards presented to Ben Meachum (3rd overall) and Waylon Lindstrom (5th overall) on the All-Tournament Team based on individual toss-up scores. #GoMallardsHSHS!

HSHS opens the season with a win over United High School at the Rowva/Williamsfield Invitational Tournament 55-39. #GoMallardsHSHS!

Congratulations to Lance Kiesewetter. Lance was named the Class 1A Player Of The Year by the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association. Lance will be recognized at an Induction Ceremony at the Westin Lombard on January 20th. Great job Lance. #GoMallardsHSHS!

Congratulations MacKenzie Hartwig! She was chosen as the ACC student of the month for November. Pictured with her is (L to R), Lynne Pohar (RN), Kirk Ross, MacKenzie Hartwig, and Jan Phalen. Kirk and Jan represent First State Bank who are sponsoring the ACC students of the month. MacKenzie was chosen for her exceptional performance, both Academically (A+), and for her excellent skill sets (bed side manner, taking of vital signs, and the other 21 CNA skills). MacKenzie was awarded a yard sign, gift card, Yeti Mug and other First State items, as well as an ACC certificate and medallion.

Congrats Abbie Stanbary! Abbie Stanbary has been named the Henry-Senachwine High School November Student of the month. Abbie is the daughter of Joe and Jo Beth Stanbary. Abbie was selected from a group of students nominated and selected by the faculty and staff.

Congrats to the Lady Mallard Volleyball Team for advancing to the 2nd Round of the IHSA Regional here at HSHS. The Lady Mallards will face Princeville tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Round 2. #GoMallardsHSHS
