
Congratulations to the following athletes for qualifying to the IHSA State Track & Field meet. Henry-Senachwine junior Nakeita Kessling moved on to state in three events as she won the long jump, finished second in the 400 and ran on the team's winning 4x400 relay team. Henry-Senachwine sophomore Laney Lester moved on to state in two events as she finished second in both the shot put and discus events. The 4x400 relay team of Daphaney Kessling (Freshman), Jersey Johnson (Freshman), Nadia Kessling (Senior), and Nakeita Kessling (Junior) won the 1A Tremont Sectional advancing to the IHSA State Track meet with a time of 4:25.72. We would like to congratulate these ladies on their accomplishments and wish them luck as they compete at Eastern Illinois University on Thursday, June 10th!


Wednesday, June 2nd is the last Red Day of the school year! Students should return all their Red Day books/supplies after their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hour classes.


Thursday, June 3rd is the last day of school for students.

Graduation Practice for the HSHS Class of 2021 is at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium. You must attend practice to participate in the Commencement Ceremony on Sunday.


Thursday, June 3, 2021 is the Last Day Of School. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take exams on Wednesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 3rd. There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 31st, The Last Day for SENIORS is Wednesday, May 26th.


Congratulations to our Girls Track Team for winning the meet against Roanoke-Benson and Lowpoint-Washburn. Great job ladies. Congratulations also to Laney Lester. Laney broke the school discus record that she previously broke earlier this season. The school discus record is now set at 121 feet, 11 inches.

Congratulations to Henry-Senachwine/Lowpoint Washburn Lady Mallard Basketball player Keally Braman. Keally signed her letter of intent to play at Illinois Valley Community College on Wednesday, April 28th. Keally was a 4-year starter for the Lady Mallards. In addition to playing basketball, Keally hopes to play softball all while working toward a degree in the medical field. Congrats Keally.

Nakeita received 2nd team honors and Hope received 3rd team honors.

Congratulations to Henry-Senachwine High School for placing third in the 2020-2021 IHSA Music Sweepstakes contest for Class D. This is the 4th year in a row for this achievement out of all the Class D schools in the State of Illinois! Great job Mallards.
