Congratulations to Kayleigh Lafferty on being named the 2022-2023 Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) award winner at Henry-Senachwine High School. Kayleigh, daughter of Jamie Wilson, was one of four seniors nominated (Gabriella Garcia, Catherine Miller, and Grey Thompson) by the faculty and staff at Henry-Senachwine High School and was then selected by his senior class. Kayleigh will move on and represent HSHS, along with other representatives from state board of education accredited schools for a cash reward and a $5000 scholarship. Kayleigh will be honored at a reception held on March 3, 2023 at the Presbyterian Church in Henry, 511 Wirt Street.
The DAR Good Citizen program and scholarship contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The students selected as the school's DAR Good Citizen must have the qualities of: dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
