Congratulations to Catherine Miller.
Catherine Miller has been named the October Student of the Month at Henry-Senachwine High School. Catherine was selected from a group of students nominated by the faculty and staff. She is the daughter of Michael & Heather Miller. Catherine is a senior at HSHS and is very involved in the school as well as student life. She has been an Honor Roll student all three years at HSHS and is a National Honor Society member. In 2021, Catherine placed first in the American Legion Essay Contest. Catherine has been a Student Council member all four years and is currently serving as the President. She has also participated in Red Krush, Lady Mallard Athletic Club, Math Team, and Club Green. Catherine is a member of the Volleyball Team and has played all four years here at HSHS.
Outside of school, Catherine has volunteered by ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season, parking cars at the Marshall-Putnam Fair, and by assisting the coaches at Volleyball practices with the Henry-Senachwine Junior High School girls.
Catherine plans to attend a four year university after high school.
On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the meeting of the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education, Catherine will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the school district designating her as "October Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
