April SOM

Ryan Bogner has been named the April Student of the month at Henry-Senachwine High School. Ryan is the son of Carolyn Jones. Ryan was nominated and selected by the high school faculty and staff. 

Ryan, a senior at HSHS, is very involved in the school as well as with student activities. Ryan has been a Honor Roll student all four years at HSHS and is a National Honor Society member. Ryan was also the recipient of the Henry-Senachwine DAR Good Citizen Award. Ryan has participated in: Mallard Ensemble, four years; Scholastic Bowl, two years; Track, two years; Student Council, one year; Golf, one year; and Yearbook, one year. 

Outside of school, Ryan has been involved in the River Valley Player theater. He also has volunteered as a Project Success tutor at the grade school and as a camp counselor at the Presbyterian Church camp. 

After high school, Ryan plans to attend college possibly majoring in Musical Performance or Education. Ryan will continue participating in musical theater. 

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the school board meeting, Ryan will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
