May Student of the Month

Keigan York, the son of Rockie and Jaimee York, has been named the May Student of the month at Henry-Senachwine High School. Keigan was selected from a group of students nominated by the faculty. The selection committee consists of several high school teachers and the principal. Currently a senior at HSHS, Keigan is very involved in the school and student life. Keigan has been an Honor Roll student all four years at HSHS. He also participated in FBLA, one year, Yearbook, one year, Math Team, three years, Red Crush, three years, and Band, four years. Keigan played Basketball, three years, Baseball, one year, and football, one year.

Keigan works at the Chillicothe McDonald’s and helped lead this store to the top of the company for donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Keigan plans to attend Illinois State University to study Business Administration.  He is excited to work his way up to a Master’s Degree. His goal is to manage a business and eventually own a business himself. Later, Keigan would like to use his experiences and teach Business courses in a school. On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the school board meeting, Keigan will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $10.00 savings bond from the Henry Dairy Queen. The student body, faculty, and community congratulate Keigan on receiving this honor in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions at HSHS!
