Jacob Miller, the son of Michael and Cathy Miller , has been named the April Student of the month at Henry-Senachwine High School. Jacob was selected from a group of students nominated by the faculty. The selection committee consists of high school teachers and the principal.
Currently a senior at HSHS, Jacob is very involved in the school and student life. Jacob has been a High Honor Roll student for four years and a National Honor Society member for two years. He has participated in FBLA four years; FCA four years; HSHS Gives Back four years; MAC four years; and MDWAP three years. He has participated in Golf for four years, Baseball for four years, and Basketball for three years.
After high school, Jacob plans to attend Sauk Valley Community College to play competitive golf. He is undecided on his major at this time.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the school board meeting, Jacob will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
