On March 21, 2026, members of HSHS Gives Back had the privilege of volunteering at the annual Extra Love event held in Lacon. Students spent the day assisting with activities and helping ensure the event ran smoothly for all participants and families in attendance. The opportunity allowed students to serve their community while supporting an organization dedicated to spreading kindness, inclusion, and joy.
In addition to volunteering their time, HSHS Gives Back was proud to present Extra Love with a donation check for $1,039. The funds were raised through this year’s Chuck-A-Duck fundraiser, held during home basketball games throughout the season. The popular event once again proved to be a great success thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of the Henry-Senachwine community.
HSHS Gives Back would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Heartland Bank for once again sponsoring the Chuck-A-Duck winners with a $20 Casey’s gift card at each home basketball game. Their continued support helps make the fundraiser possible and contributes to the success of HSHS Gives Back’s efforts to give back to meaningful causes in the community.
