Leaf Rackley has been named the Henry-Senachwine High School March Student of the Month. Her guardian is Christopher Nauman. Leaf was selected from a group of students nominated by the faculty. The selection committee consists of high school teachers and the principal.
Currently a senior at HSHS, Leaf is involved in the school and student life. Leaf has been an Honor Roll student for four years and earned an Academic Excellence Award during Fall of 2025. She has participated in Anime Club four years; Art Club for two years; Industrial Arts Club one year; Congressional Art Competition in 2024; and Choir for two years. She has participated in Bass fishing for one year. Outside of school, Leaf is involved with ballpark concessions.
After high school, Leaf plans to attend Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to major in Criminal Justice for four years to pursue a career in law enforcement.
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the school board meeting, Leaf will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
