Jersey Johnson has been named the Henry-Senachwine High School Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Sasha Stillwell. Jersey was nominated, then selected, from a group of students by the HSHS faculty and staff.

Jersey is a senior at HSHS and is actively involved in the school and student life. She has been a High Honor Roll/Honor Roll student all four years of high school. Jersey has participated in: Art Club, three years; FCCLA, one year; and Track, one year.

Outside of school, Jersey plans to volunteer with Peoria Park District this summer to learn about park systems and programs for her future career aspirations.

After high school, Jersey will attend Illinois Central College to major in Environmental Studies in order to become a Park Ranger. Jersey also wants to become a tattoo artist/piercer for a side income.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education Meeting, Jersey will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
