Nolan Dunshee is the Henry-Senachwine High School March Student of the Month. Nolan is the son of Yolanda Babin and Matt Dunshee and Sabrina Higdon. Nolan was selected from a group of students that were nominated by the Henry-Senachwine High School faculty and staff.
Currently a senior at HSHS, Nolan is very involved in the school and student life. Nolan has been a High Honor Roll student all four years. He has been involved in: FCA, two years, HSHS Giving Back, one year; Mallard Athletic Club, one year; Red Krush, three years; and Robotics, two years. Nolan has participated in Baseball, Basketball, and Golf all four years.
Outside of school, Nolan has volunteered with the River Valley Players.
After high school, Nolan plans to attend Illinois Valley Community College to complete an Electrician Certification program.
On Wednesday, March 20, 2023, at the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education meeting, Nolan will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
