Abbie Stanbary has been named the Henry-Senachwine High School November Student of the month. Abbie is the daughter of Joe and Jo Beth Stanbary. Abbie was selected from a group of students nominated and selected by the faculty and staff. 

 Currently a senior at HSHS, Abbie is very involved in the school and student life. Abbie has been a High Honor Roll student throughout her years at HSHS and Academic All Conference the past three years. She is a National Honor Society member, where she currently serves as President. Abbie is a Student Council member and has been a Class Officer all four years (Vice-President). She has also participated in: FBLA, four years; President for two; FCCLA, two years; FCA, four years; HSHS Giving Back, one year; Math Team, three years; and Red Krush/LMAC/MAC, four years. 

Abbie has participated in Volleyball, Softball, and Cheer (currently serving as Captain) all four years during her high school career. She has even been on the Dance Team for two years.

Outside of school, Abbie has volunteered throughout the community, surpassing the 300 service hours to date to earn the Silver Cord.

After high school, Abbie plans to attend IVCC and then transfer to a four-year university majoring in Physical Education.

Abbie will be recognized on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the school board meeting. Abbie will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating her as "Student of the Month." In addition, she will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry. The student body, faculty, and community congratulate Abbie on receiving this honor in recognition of her accomplishments and contributions at HSHS!
