Henry-Senachwine High School’s Class of 2023 Valedictorian is Catherine Grace Miller. The Class of 2023 Salutatorian is Gabriella Nancy Garcia.
Catherine is the daughter of Dr. Michael and Heather Miller. Catherine plans to attend the University of Florida and major in Environmental Science. Catherine is a member of the Top Ten. She is an Illinois State Scholar and was the HSHS October Student of the Month. Catherine was the Student Council President as well as the Class of 2023 President. She was the Secretary for the Lady Mallard Athletic Club and was a member of the FCA, FCCLA, Mallard, Investment Club, Math Team, National Honor Society, and Red Krush. Catherine was a member of the Volleyball Team at HSHS and was a team captain.
Gabriella is the daughter of Theresa Garcia. She plans to attend the University of Illinois and major in Systems Engineering and Design. Gabriella is a member of the Top Ten and was the September Student of the Month. Gabriella participated in FCA, MDWAP, FCCLA, LMAC, Math Team, Student Council, NHS, Red Krush, and the Mallard Investment Club. Gabriella was the Secretary of Student Council and President of the National Honor Society and Lady Mallard Athletic Club. She was also a member of the Volleyball Team at HSHS and was a team captain. Gabriella was awarded the University of Illinois Chancellor’s Access Grant, the President’s Award Scholarship, and the Chamber Dewey Scholarship.
