Amsal Jakupi is the Henry-Senachwine High School March Student of the Month. Amsal is  the son of Sehar and Fatmire Jakupi. Amsal was selected from a group of students that were nominated by the Henry-Senachwine High School faculty and staff.

Currently a senior at HSHS, Amsal is very involved in the school and student life. Amsal has been a High Honor Roll student all four years and is a National Honor Society member. He has been involved in: FBLA, four years, Mallard Investment Club, one year; Math Team, four years; Red Krush, four years; and Robotics, one year. Amsal has participated in Basketball all four years and Track & Field for two years.

Outside of school, Amsal has volunteered with Salvation Army bell ringing and Treat the Troops.

After high school, Amsal plans to attend Bradley University majoring in Mechanical Engineering. 

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education meeting, Amsal will be presented with an engraved pen set from the Henry-Senachwine Education Association and a personalized plaque from the district designating him as "Student of the Month." In addition, he will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Heartland Bank in Henry and a $25.00 gift card from MidAmerica National Bank in Henry.
