Original HSHS Academic Wing – Open to the Public on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon
The original HSHS academic wing will be open to the public this coming Saturday, June 13th from 9:00 a.m. – Noon for anyone interested in salvaging any loose items remaining throughout the wing. The District is requesting a monetary donation of one’s choosing for any items taken. Up to this point, other schools have had an opportunity to salvage items for educational use. Please note that you can enter the wing from the north student parking lot. There is no electricity, running water, or usable restrooms in the wing.
Original HSHS Academic Wing to be Demolished on June 15th, 2026
Demolition of the original HSHS academic wing is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15th, 2026. Demolition of the HSHS academic wing can be viewed from the Marshall Putnam County Fairgrounds. Currently, it is estimated that demolition will begin around 7:00 a.m., although this time is subject to change due to logistics and variables
