HSHS Renovations & Academic Wing Addition – Update
Original HSHS Academic Wing to be Demolished on June 15th, 2026

Henry-Senachwine High School renovations and construction on the new academic wing addition have continued and the following progress has been made:
• Installation of classroom, corridor tiles, and base trim
• Installation of classroom/science lab casework and marker boards
• Installation of new sewer line
• Installation of new concrete sidewalks and concrete in the courtyard area
• Installation of concrete curb and pad for cooler/freezer
• Installation of carpet and stair tread
• Demolition of gym bleachers
• Demolition of cafeteria and kitchen areas
The original HSHS academic wing is scheduled to be demolished on Monday, June 15th, 2026. Demolition of the HSHS academic wing can be viewed from the Marshall Putnam Fairgrounds.
The District will provide progress updates on the high school academic wing addition and renovation work on its website at www.hscud5.org, under tab ‘Master Facility Planning”. You can also click this link for access to the updates. The Henry-Senachwine Board of Education will continue to meet monthly and welcomes public attendance at the meetings.
