Henry-Senachwine School District #5 - Master Facility Planning Update
Henry-Senachwine School District continues to move forward with master facility planning. As the District considers school facility repairs, renovations, and an addition to the high school, funding options for such projects are also being considered. At the April Board of Education meeting, Bernardi Securities, Inc. provided an overview of municipal bonding and borrowing services available to the District.
At the upcoming May 15th Board of Education meeting, BCA Architects, Ltd. and Midwest Construction Professionals will be present to provide the District with an update on preliminary facility renovations, high school building addition options, and associated costs.
At Henry-Senachwine Grade & Junior High School, the second and final phase of the HVAC project has started. Phase two of the HVAC work will continue throughout the spring and summer, with an anticipated completion date of August 9th, 2024.
The District will provide updates on its master facility planning on its website at www.hscud5.org, under tab ‘Master Facility Planning”. The Henry-Senachwine Board of Education will continue to meet monthly and welcomes public attendance at the meetings.
