Henry-Senachwine Families:

Henry-Senachwine High School is committed to your student’s academic growth, as well as their social, emotional, and behavioral growth. Our goal is for all students to develop the tools to regulate their emotions, develop positive relationships, and demonstrate decision making and responsible behaviors to achieve academic and life success.

As part of this, your child’s teacher will be completing the Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener (SAEBRS) for each student in their classroom. The use of SAEBRS strengthens our efforts to increase student academic and social/emotional success and allows the school to take positive and preventative measures as early as possible. This screener will help school staff identify “at-risk” students that may need additional social/emotional support. This will occur for all students in grades 9th through 12th. If you would like to view the screener, please visit the school website at www.hscud5.org.

Additionally, students in grades 5-12 will complete a self-report screener called MySAEBRS. This will occur during school hours. Student’s participation in the MySAEBRS screener is voluntary. If you do not wish for your student to participate in the MySAEBRS assessment, please contact the main office of your student's school by September, 16th, 2022. A copy of the self-report screener can be found on the district website https://www.hscud5.org/  under the "More Info" link.

If you have questions or concerns about the SAEBRS and MySAEBRS screeners, please contact Kim Sheppard at ksheppard@hscud5.org or 309-364-2829 or Jordan Krebs @ jkrebs@hscud5.org or 309-364-2531 .
