Nov SOM

Congratulations to Brady Neuhalfhen.  He has been selected as the Henry-Senachwine High School Student of the Month for November. Brady is the son of Roger Neuhalfen and Patricia Goodell Griffin.

Over the past four years in high school, Brady has been part of a variety of clubs and organizations. He is currently a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, Math Team, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Brady has held leadership roles in FBLA and is president of NHS at HSHS. Brady is active in the athletic department and has played varsity baseball, basketball, football, and golf. He was also part of the band and the choir for two years.

Academically, Brady has been a member of the High Honor Roll all four years while taking dual credit and advanced placement courses. Brady went to the National Leadership Conference for FBLA his freshman and sophomore years - going first to Baltimore and then to San Antonio. He has also done well on Math Team, advancing to the State competition each year. Brady is in the Top 5 of the class of 2021. In addition, Brady was named the recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution award for this year.

Brady is also involved in the Henry community. In FBLA, he rang bells for the Salvation Army, and he helped with the annual Treat the Troops event in which FBLA members collected, packaged, and sent items to U.S. troops overseas to help get them through the holidays. For NHS, Brady spearheaded a project to write letters to residents at Heartland Healthcare in Henry to connect with them when the coronavirus prevented them from seeing many visitors. Brady also occasionally plays the guitar for the church choir at St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Henry.

On Wednesday, November 18th at the school board meeting, Brady will be honored at the Wednesday, November 18th meeting of the Henry-Senachwine Board of Education where he will be presented with an engraved pen set from the district, a plaque from Henry-Senachwine Teachers’ Association, a $25.00 saving bond from Heartland Bank and Trust, and a $10.00 certificate from the Henry Dairy Queen.

The student body, faculty, and the community congratulate Brady on receiving this honor in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to HSHS.
