Hope Week

Henry-Senachwine High School's annual "Hope Week" was held January 29th through February 2nd, concluding with a home basketball game entitled, "Hoops For Homes". Organized and led by HSHS students MacKenzie Hartwig and Jackson Knisley, various fundraisers were held throughout the school week in order to raise money to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.

After all funds were counted, HSHS students and staff were thrilled to learn that their efforts totaled $6,545.34.  On Thursday, February 22nd, Mackenzie and Jackson traveled to Peoria to deliver the donation on behalf of HSHS. MacKenzie and Jackson would like to thank the HSHS students and staff, the Henry-Senachwine Community, and the many business sponsors that were instrumental in making the event a success. Business sponsors included Bergfeld Landscape Architecture Studio, Birkey's City of Henry, Cool Brothers, Country Financial, Ed Hartwig Trucking and Excavating, Heartland Bank, Italian Villa, La Prairie Mutual Insurance, MidAmerica National Bank, Ryan Andeerson Attorney at Law, Pearce Community Center, Sisler's Ice, Smith Construction, State Farm, and the 505 on Edward.
