Putnam County Public Library District is launching a new community book club series called “Chapter 250: Reading America’s Story Together.” In celebration of America250 Illinois, of which the Library is a proud partner, and thanks to a microgrant from WETA as part of their national engagement campaign for "The American Revolution," the new documentary by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt, we’re able to offer three book clubs geared toward adults, teens, and youth. Each group will have both in-person and virtual meeting options.

Starting in December, the selected books will be available at the library branches listed in the attached document. Before each discussion, participants will watch a short screening reel from "The American Revolution," that ties into the themes of each book, along with a few brief videos on related topics.

If anyone would like to join virtually, here are the Zoom registration links (no registration needed for in-person attendance)
